Grade 2 Speech Pathologist, Neurology Service
12 months at 24 hours a week Maternity Leave Position
(Potential to increase hours for periods throughout the 12 months to cover long service leave etc.,)

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our enthusiastic and dynamic multidisciplinary team. Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is a statewide tertiary provider of specialist care in progressive neurology. The neurological team works within a neuro-palliative rehabilitation framework and aims to provide best practice assessment and holistic care for people with progressive neurological disorders and their families.

You will provide clinical assessment and management of people with progressive neurological conditions admitted to the inpatient neurological ward. This role includes the opportunity to extend your clinical knowledge and experience through a rotation in a specialist residential facility for people with progressive neurological conditions. In both settings you will work as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality, comprehensive, timely and co-ordinated care to optimize quality of life. The role involves management of; dysphagia (with potential to participate in videofluoroscopy assessment), communication impairment with exposure to a broad range of AAC (incl. high tech, low tech, dedicated and mainstream devices), saliva/secretion issues and oral health/hygiene problems.

Requirements:
- You will hold a Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech Pathology, giving eligibility for membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
- You will have a demonstrated knowledge and competency in relevant areas of Speech Pathology assessment and management.
- Current clinical knowledge in progressive neurology, dysphagia management or AAC is desirable.
- You will demonstrate an ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

CHCB Community Palliative Care Service provides multidisciplinary care to patients and their families in the community setting.
We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to be part of our casual bank with the skills and qualities to assist in the organization and coordination in delivery of care.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- RN with at least 3 years post graduate experience
- Post Graduate qualifications (or working towards same)
