The active time may include time at commencement and finish of the shift to help assist the client with settling or personal care needs. It is anticipated that the staff member receives a reasonable night sleep. It is often scheduled with additional personal care hours.
24 Hour care
The provision of staff to provide care in the client’s home for a 24 hour period, involving approximately 8 hours of active assistance as well as monitoring support.
Home maintenance / gardening
Light outdoor work not requiring provision of equipment. It includes weeding and general garden tidying.
Home alert
Unique personal emergency monitoring service including pendant alarm as well as sensors and equipment which can alert the monitoring centre for gas, smoke or inactivity. It also includes key safes for access to the home for those who may not hear the doorbell or are unable to answer the door.
The pendants to trigger the alarm units are easy to use. They are completely waterproof and can be worn around your neck, on your wrist or clipped to your clothing. There are also other triggers for people with special needs.
